I've enjoyed being an artist since before I can remember. Over the years, I've experimented with everything from painting, printmaking and sculpture, to stained glass, mosaics and three-dimensional mixed media. Aside from some upper-level art classes in high school, I am completely self-taught. I produce all of my work out of my home studio in North Texas, which is shared with my better half (Barry) and our four pets. Spare time is typically spent chasing after unruly animals, eating frozen dinners or watching B-rate scifi movies. I surround myself with the opportunity to be creative by working a full-time job in graphic design.

My style stems from an affinity for American Modernism and the Pop Art movement. Vivid color, bold shading, dramatic scale and organic subject matter are my primary focuses.
I work entirely from still-life photographs taken by myself and my peers. I use a layering technique with oil pastel in which I stack dozens of colors on top of each other to achieve the desired effect. After a thick layer is built up I use my bare fingers to blend the colors; a process which takes hours to complete. Pure white acrylic backgrounds keep focus on the subject.
